Tax Director

Rikesh Pandora

I’m Rikesh, Tax Director at VPC Accountants, specialising in tax advisory, consultancy, and planning services for individuals, businesses, and property investors. I began my career in accountancy in 2012, but within my first year I realised that my real passion was tax, particularly the advisory side where I could help clients make informed, commercially sensible decisions.

I went on to join a top 50 accountancy firm, where I completed both my ATT and CTA qualifications. Since then, I have built extensive experience across a range of firms and client sectors, working with high-net-worth individuals, non-UK residents, property investors, sole traders, company directors, owner-managed businesses, and high-profile clients including A-list celebrities.

My role today is heavily focused on providing proactive and tailored tax consultancy and advisory services. I advise clients on structuring their affairs efficiently, identifying tax-saving opportunities, managing tax risk, and planning ahead for key transactions, business decisions, and personal circumstances. My areas of advice include personal tax, corporate tax, property tax, residency and non-residency matters, remuneration planning, business restructuring, succession planning, and tax-efficient extraction of profits.

My approach is practical, commercial, and client-focused. I aim to provide clear advice that goes beyond compliance, helping clients understand their options, make confident decisions, and structure their affairs in a way that supports both their immediate needs and long-term objectives.

What Do You Love About Working At VPC?
What I love most about working at VPC is the people, the variety, and the culture. I’m fortunate to work with supportive and approachable colleagues who create a positive team environment, and I really enjoy the diverse client portfolio, which means no two days are the same and the work remains interesting and challenging. The social side of VPC is also a big part of what makes it a great place to work, with team events and socials helping to build a real sense of community and team spirit.

What Is Your Biggest Achievement?
My biggest achievement professionally has been qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser after completing the CTA exams, which was a challenging but extremely rewarding milestone in my career. On a personal level, one of my proudest achievements has been buying my own property, as it represented an important step in my personal life and gave me a real sense of accomplishment.

What Are Your Hobbies?
Outside of work, I’ve recently become slightly obsessed with padel and try to play two or three times a week – injuries permitting. I enjoy the competitive side of it, but it’s also a great way to switch off and have a laugh. I’m also a big Arsenal fan, so after watching them win the Premier League, I’m hoping there are a few more titles to celebrate.
